Paul was born in Kassel, North Hesse, Germany, during the time of the fifth Documenta Art Exhibition. The main attraction of the exhibition was a gigantic air-filled sausage, designed by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. It stood upright in the park Karlswiese, which made up a large part of the exhibition grounds, and to Paul's tender eyes it seemed to be at least 700 ft high. There were those who even claimed that the artwork resembled a giant sausage, which may explain why Paul became a strict vegetarian at such an early age. I'm kidding!!!
