Record Tracklist

  1. All Gone Home -:-- / -:--

This song is about a club I used to go to, and about all the crazy people you could meet there every night. Then I moved to another city, the club closed, the crazy people probably all died, or moved to another country, or just found another club they could go to every night — I do not know.

It goes something like this…

All Gone Home – Lyrics

I took the long way to see you
You took the smile from my face
I took a short cut
Back through the memories
that the hard times couldn’t erase

I was the loneliest dreamer
I was fear-struck and numb
You brought the bad news
I knew what you’d seen there
The kingdom overcome

They’d all gone home
The wingless angels with their parachutes
All gone home
The feathered idiots that looked so cute
They’d all gone home
My saints and sinners, kings and queens
All, all gone
The wonders I had seen

I had a couple more lyrics in my head, like “the mad batter with his hat on fire…”, but they went the same way as many a many many a many thing my brain once contained, that’s down the drain….

Which brings me to another song that I once heard, or I once wrote, or did I play it with a band? These things tend to be bit muddled up these days…
