Record Details

Released:

Genre:
Rock

Very ancient stuff…

The band was called superglue …

It’s two songs rolled into one, using the same chord pattern C  /  em  /  |  F  /  C  /  |  am  /  em  /  |  F  /  /  /  | even though the first one is in G major and the second one is in C major. Neat, isn’t it?

Playing on this recording are: Wolf Pratts on drums, Alex Tryppalong on bass and maybe Boris Meijer on lead guitar, I am not sure now. I mean, that was decades ago and my brain and ears are still recovering from rock music only gradually. It is a long process, it takes patience and time and the willingness to heal and … what?

Lyrics

No. 253

I’m working on my concept of perfect confusion
I know the truth is just a part of the lie
I’m picking up the pieces and the only solution
When you’re fighting time, is never to die

I’ll only keep space, for life-long reincarnation
I’m the next generation learning to fly
I’m the fragment of a dream that touched my eyes and graciously
Promised to lead me to my corner of the sky

No. 254

There were times when I used to wait so patiently
Knowing there were greater things yet to come
I’d be innocent, I’d burn and never fade away
Only the good would stay forever young

There were times when I knew i could just walk away
to find the place where real life would welcome me
And when I’d wear the crown I’d come back here some sunny day
When I had proven that I could so easily be free

Back then I knew that nothing really matters
And I could still learn how to play the game
Then I knew things can only get better
Naturally, but me I’d always be the same

There were times when I knew I was a chosen one
And all I had to do was trust in providence
But even now it seems my life has only just begun
It seems I didn’t even take half a chance
